Port Aransas
I hope you enjoy some of my favorite pictures from some of my trips to Port Aransas. This is my home away from home and my office way from my office.
Picture of our Bayliner at Corpus Christi docks
Our Searay parked next to the Bayliner in Port Aransas. The Searay (smaller) makes it nice for
getting around on short trips and tours in the back bay.
Nothing like a mid-morning cruise down the Corpus Christi ship channel. You never know
what you might run into. Guess who has the right of way!
This is the Texas Treasure from Port Aransas, I get to see it leave port twice a day when I am working.
If you have never been to the sand castle contest, you really don't know what you are missing.
These people are really talented and amazing.
This is definitely one of my favorite spots in the bay.
There are always plenty of dolphins playing about to keep you company when you are cruising the bay.
Definitely a beautiful day on the bay.
A view from my new slip, looking out my back door/patio, from "Family Time" 1983 -Bayliner Motoryacht.

Meet Emily, my new deckhand.
Excuse me??...can someone tell me where the BBQ deck is?
Wow? This could be dangerous in the dark!
Emily and I love watching the traffic coming by all hours of the day.
The sailboats coming and going are some of the best sights.
The following pictures are before and during a storm that blew in Port Aransas just before Spring Break
this year (03/10/2008). It was the biggest I have seen and the winds were clocked with 70 mph gusts as it blew in.
I'm thankful we were tied down good, but it was still scary when it hit.
Note the flags and wind direction (out of the south from the gulf) just minutes before the Northern hit.
Also, note the calmness of the water just a few minutes before
And the tourist decided it was time to leave the island, but for me it was a great experience riding it out
on the Family Time with my nephew Mike, who took all of these shots.
