Fishing in Port A
The below pictures were taken on a trip with my brother (Jerry) and my good friend (Jim)
who is also a professional fishing guide.
These fish below are Black Drum (caught in the back bay area) and are a excellent eating fish. The longer one in the middle is a Speckled Sea Trout. We also threw back some Red Fish and Flounder this day (under limit) but all of them furocious fighters which made catching them a blast. Jim then took us out in the Gulf for some really fun fishing and showed me how to rig for Kingfish and also King Mackerel. We wound up catching (some real BIG fighters called Bonita).
I usually turn all my fish back, but this day we decided to have them cleaned (except the Bonita) and taken to a restaurant here in Port A, to eat for dinner. They were scrumptious, to say the least.
Man, I don't think Jim ever has a bad day of fishing, at least I have never seen him have one.
Looking for a great guide give Capt Jim Adams a call at 361-443-7760.
Debbie Lindke takes her hand at offshore fishing with Jim and lands all four of these Kings herself. She actually
caught five but four was the boat limit, so the other one lived to see another day and Debbie took home about 63 lbs of King filets on ice.
Jamy (one of my twin boy's) flew down from Amarillo April 22, 2010 for a fishing weekend.
